HOW TO FIND YOUR ELECTED STATE AND FEDERAL REPRESENTATIVES

CONNECTICUT GENERAL ASSEMBLY:

Each Connecticut resident is represented at the State Legislature by both a State Senator and a House Representative. To find an alphabetical list of Connecticut State Representatives, click on the following link http://www.cga.ct.gov/asp/menu/hlist.asp.

To find an alphabetical list of Connecticut State Senators, click on the following link http://www.cga.ct.gov/asp/menu/slist.asp.

To find your specific Connecticut State Senator or Representative, go to the Connecticut General Assembly website at http://www.cga.ct.gov/#45177. Click the House or Senate links (located on the left side of the home page or at the top of a secondary page), and click “Find Your Legislator.” Click the district number for your town and you will get to their individual web page, which contains contact information. If your town has more than one legislative district (more than one representative or senator) you will be directed to a map of your area to determine in which district you live.

TO FIND CONNECTICUT STATE SENATORS AND REPRESENTATIVES IN CONNECTICUT’S COMMUNITY RESOURCES DATABASE:

Search by service name: State Legislature Offices then refine your search by Selecting a City or a Zip Code.

U.S. CONGRESS:

Each Connecticut resident is represented in the U.S. Congress by two Senators and one Representative.

To find your Connecticut U.S. Senators, go to http://www.senate.gov, choose Connecticut from the drop down list in the upper right corner under “Find Your Senator,” then click “Go.”

To find your U.S. Representative, go to http://www.house.gov, enter your zip code in the box under “Find Your Representative” and click “Go.”

TO FIND U.S. SENATORS AND REPRESENTATIVES FROM CONNECTICUT IN CONNECTICUT’S COMMUNITY RESOURCES DATABASE:

Search by service name: United States House of Representatives Offices then refine your search by Selecting a City or a Zip Code.

Or, search by service name: United States Senate Offices then refine your search by selecting a City or a Zip Code.
