PRO SE DIVORCE
WHAT IS PRO SE DIVORCE?
Pro se means that you are representing
yourself in court, rather than having an
attorney represent you. You follow the same
procedure, but you must fill out and file all
the legal forms yourself.
DO-IT-YOURSELF DIVORCE
GUIDE
The Do-It-Yourself
Divorce Guide and Do-It-Yourself
Guide Supplement (must be used together)
are written to help people without legal
training use Connecticut State Courts to obtain
a divorce without the use of an attorney. The
books are available free to anyone and can be
obtained from the Superior Court Clerk's office,
the Public Information Desks, the Court Services
Centers, and at the Judical Branch website at http://www.jud.state.ct.us.
Sets of books are also available at public
libraries, legal aid offices, and domestic
violence shelters.
