ASTHMA
WHAT IS ASTHMA?
Asthma is a serious health
problem. When a person has asthma, their
airways become sensitive and may react to smoke,
pollen, dust, air pollution, allergies, and
other triggers. Common asthma symptoms are
wheezing, coughing, shortness of breath, and
chest tightness. Although there is no cure
for asthma, proper use of medication and
reducing exposure to known triggers for asthma
attacks may ease the severity and frequency of
the attacks.
